There are two scholarship programs run by the Amador Valley High School PTSA awarded to seniors graduating from Amador Valley High School.
The Merit Scholarship is intended to recognize well-rounded students who intend to continue their education at a four-year college, community college, or vocational school.
The Community Service Scholarship is intended to recognize students who plan to continue their education at a four-year college, community college, or vocational school, who have had significant experience and given support in community service.
To be eligible for the AVHS PTSA scholarships, you must have been a member of the PTSA during BOTH your Junior and Senior years.
To verify that you were a PTSA member during your JUNIOR year (2020-2021) and SENIOR year (2021-2022), check this file: 2020-2022 Membership Lists. If you believe you were a member last year, but your name does not appear in the file for the 2020-2021 school year,, please email the Scholarship Committee and we will try to verify your membership some other way. If you did not attend Amador Valley High School during your Junior year, you only need to be a member of the AVHS PTSA for 2021-2022.
If you were a member JUNIOR year but you are not a member for SENIOR year, it is not too late to become a member! JOIN PTSA – Student Membership for the 2021-2022 school year.
The 2022 AVHS PTSA Scholarships are $500 each. Scholarship winners will be announced through the AVHS PTSA newsletter, AVHS PTSA FB page, and winners will be notified via email and special invitation to the Senior Scholarship Recognition Ceremony hosted by Amador Valley High School on May 26, 2022.
All applications are due by midnight PDT on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
