There are two scholarship programs run by the Amador Valley High School PTSA awarded to seniors graduating from Amador Valley High School.
- The Merit Scholarship is intended to recognize well-rounded students who intend to continue their education at a four-year college, community college, or vocational school.
- The Community Service Scholarship is intended to recognize students who plan to continue their education at a four-year college, community college, or vocational school, who have had significant experience and given support in community service.
To be eligible for the AVHS PTSA scholarships, you must have been a member of the PTSA during your junior and senior years.
To verify that you were a PTSA member during your JUNIOR year (2018-2019), check this file: 2018-2019 Membership List and search for your FIRST name. If you believe you were a member last year, but your name does not appear in the file, check with Lorrie Drucker, PTSA VP of Operations at firstname.lastname@example.org to see if she can verify your membership some other way. (If you did not attend Amador Valley High School during your junior year, you only need to be a member of the PTSA for 2019-2020.)
To verify that you are a PTSA member for your SENIOR year (2019-2020), check this file: 2019-2020 Membership List and search for your LAST name. If your name is not on the list, and you were a member during your junior year (2018-2019), you can still become eligible for the senior scholarships by joining the PTSA this year for $10.75 at this link: JOIN PTSA – Student Membership 2019-2020
Typically the scholarships awarded are worth $500 each. Scholarship winners will be notified by email and will be included in the Amador Valley High School Awards celebration in May.
All applications are due by midnight PDT on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
