How the PTSA Helps Amador

During the school year, the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) coordinates the National PTA’s Reflections Program; supports Amador’s sales and distribution of P.E. clothes; provides countless hours of volunteer power at walk-through registration, school dances, health fairs, and other events; and raises funds to provide thousands of dollars in grant money each year to teachers for classroom consumables and student projects.

The PTSA also supports Amador classroom technology. For example, the PTSA committed to upgrading all teachers’ laptops and tablets between 2015 and 2018. In addition, the PTSA donates funds to the AVHS library, counseling office, and health office. The PTSA also helps with site improvements, such as adding a sound system to the large gym and providing funds to establish and maintain the Amador Wellness Center.
